100th Legislative Session Reception & Reunion

The 100th session project provides a special opportunity to reflect on the rich history of the South Dakota Legislature and commemorate the men and women, from all corners of the state and all walks of life, who have volunteered their time and talent to serve in the South Dakota Legislature.

Current and Former Legislators, Staff, Interns, and Pages are invited to a special Reception & Reunion.

When:  Saturday, April 12, 2025

  • Photo opportunities from 11AM to 2:30PM in the SD State Capitol Rotunda
  • Program begins at 3PM to 4PM in the SD State Capitol Rotunda, emceed by Former Lt. Gov. Matt Michels.  Bernie Hunhoff will read a verse about the Legislature, and Rep. Tony Venhuizen will give a short history of South Dakota’s law-making process. The program will also include remarks from a representative from the Governors office.
  • Reception & dance at the Ramkota Hotel and Convention Center in Pierre begins at 5PM with the South Dakota National Guard band performing.

There will be limited tickets.  Please complete the form to be notified when tickets go on sale.
